tthrift,
Is your car still spiking 15-16 psi? Is it only a spike and does it still drop way off like stock or SI? Does it hold a higher boost to redine at all?

I got my UCP from Adam of Friday. I was impressed with the way it was professionally packaged. When I opened the package up I was extremely happy with the finished product. I had sent Adam my HKS bov and pipe w/flange for the bov. Adam removed the flange from the pipe and attached it to his UCP. Looks very nice!

This is it installed. It looks so good. The hose that attaches the UCP to the throttle body is one that I bought. I cut down the nicer one that Adam provided, but I cut it down too much to get a better fit and the UCP would pop off when I punched it. So I went down to my auto parts store and purchased one that would work.

Now for the butt dyno. I am extremely happy with it! My GT pulls really hard now. My wife and I went into Salem to eat and we took the back roads. At a stop sign I asked my wife to give me her opinion on any improvement she noticed. As I took off and went through the gears all she could say was "OMG, OMG". Man, my GT pulls really hard now! I am running with the AMX intake, the 2" ram air hose and Stage 1. I saw another guy on a different forum say he really liked Adam's UCP, but he didn't notice that big of a difference. He is running the stock airbox and Jim's Brand X turbo up pipe. I think Adam is right in that you won't feel the whole difference unless you are running with an intake. I reccomend running his UCP with an intake, his or one comparable. So I whole heartily give my endorsement to Adam's UCP. It put a huge smile on my face [?]

Mean Green is that hose on the botton the factory rubber hose or what, I though the whole idea was to get rid of the rubber hose, I'm glad it works like you though and I take your word over a lot of the others thanks danny.

Yeah, the bottom hose is silicone/rubber. I imagine that was to keep the cost down and the increase in performance, even with the silicone elbow and the silicone sleeve where you hook it up to the intake, is very nice.

The short length of hose on the bottom is negligible.
If you feel the stock hose when it's hot, it's extremely deformable with light touch. I assume near the intercooler outlet, that temps is slightly lower than as the hose passes near the block or over the valve cover to the TB.
I have a UCP and intake pipe on hold. He's making them now so you can use them with the stock box or attach an adapter to use his intake pipe when u want to.

Thanks everyone I knew that if I put out a quality product once people put it on there car everyone would like it..

Answering a few questions..

1) I did make the origonal kit to fit just with my intake system.. The factory box does make the UCP need to be pushed over just a hair.. What I will do on the V.2 is drill the hole slightly up more towards the top of the pipe and over away from the dip stick.. I will also Tig weld the nipple up a little more.. I am trying to acomadate people that want to keep the stock air box... Think things are looking good..

2) The 90 deg hose that is on the bottom is needed. It is not to cut costs in fact that one 90 bend cost me $45 each. On my car I have an old prototype (so you had to relocate your battery) that pipe goes down and connects using a straight piece of hose.. the pipe has more bends in it (but I do not have a battery..) For people that have batteries this is a way way harder install.

The hose I use is the same 3 ply hose that drag cars use.. This WILL NOT BALLOON UP .. Cars that use this hose are pushing over a thousand HP.. Like I said everything I use has been track tested over the years on drag cars..

Thanks again for your support..
ADAM

I installed Adam's complete kit this weekend on my wife's PT. I kept the stock airbox, just removed the silencers. Adam set up the kit so we could switch between the stock airbox and an aftermarket filter if we wanted.

We are very happy with this kit. The fit is tight, but it works. With the pipes powdercoated, the engine bay looks much better and is much easier to clean.

Now, we noticed three things with this kit.

1. The turbo sound is much louder now, even with a stock airbox. My wife Natasha said it was "really cool, it sounds like a jet plane!". Now she is bugging me to put the aftermarket filter on, she wants that jet plane sound even louder!

2. No technical proof, but it seems to have more power, especially at highway speeds for passing.

3. Big surprise, with the first tank of gas, the gas mileage went up 2 mpg from what the car normally got for highway driving. By the third tank (we drove to San Diego and back), the mileage was up 3 mpg. It now gets better gas mileage than ever. That alone helps pay for the cost of the kit, at least a little bit.

So, this kit Adam has made is a real winner in our opinion, and he has been excellent to work with.

I only wish he had some different filter color besides green!

Great product Adam, thanks for making this kit!
