I owned the first big turbo, AGP, 400+ HP Cruiser. I bought it directly from AGP and it had over $10,000 of their products already installed. That's $10,000 not including installation and tuning costs.

The "turbo kit" is just the tip of the iceberg. I suggest you add a bigger intercooler, a 255 fuel pump w/regulator and return, boost/fuel control (if you don't already have one) and a limited slip diff as a minimum. A full 3" exhaust would be a good idea but not as important as the first list. The next in importance after all that would be the intake/filter/pipes/BOV. And down the list a little more would be the monitoring/tuning tools, gauges, etc.

Most step by step builds you will see out there are done exactly the opposite and backasswards.

you must be including the estimated labor charge from most shops of about 1500-2000?
