Default Boost question for Toronto area GT owners

I'm just wondering what kind of boost levels you are getting?

Stock vs stage I?
or
Stock vs mbc?

I've gone the mbc route and want to make sure I'm not overboosting. I've hooked the mbc up before solenoid 2 but am thinking of moving it to between the turbo and wastegate. I don't want to affect driveability though so I will see about that one...

My max stock boost is 9-10 psi, and with my mbc I have it set at 10-11 psi. Hopefully I can go a little higher...

Thanks.

If you dont have spike issues you can go up another 50% without too much worry!!

The most I have ever seen it spike to is 15psi. Hopefully my self installed boost gauge is accurate. To get 10-11 psi it may spike to 12 psi at the most but I don't really have any spiking issues.

A couple of times (while tweaking the boost) it's gone up and held in the 13-14 psi and if I go WOT and start accelerating all of a sudden at higher rpm I'll hear a thud and it feels like I just ran over a moderate sized pothole. You know that sort of jarring feeling. Any ideas? Wheel hop... or much worse? Acceleration while boosting that high is awesome though.

Northernpt, if you want to play turn off the trac control and disconnect the tip line (that is the plastic hose going to the intake hose in the hadr plastic part just before the throttle body plug the nipple and leave the little hose just lay on the engine ,now you can boost up 20 . there are a few of us that is boosting 18 every day in wot no problem in mid throttle you may get a engine lite, so always go wot like we do my gt blue is stock , mods are the amx1397 intake to the air box and the tip mod , just to let you know both these mods were done by amx1397 and they work great, i run 1465 @ 96mph in the 1/4 mile with his mods. the rest of my PT is stock.
