Yeah, I'de love to see a scan of your Time-Slip from this run.

You can see all about my dyno runs on my car here:

http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/386332/3

The car was basically stock, with the exception of having all of the silencers in the airbox removed. The second pull I installed a drop-in K & N, and the 3rd I reset the PCM. The best I could manage, Corrected of course, was 184.63 HP / 237.86 TQ. Of course, this was on an 03 GT, which has the smaller injectors compared to the 04, but it was also after I reset the PCM, which allows them to typically run pig-rich for a little while.
Here's what my Dyno Scan looked like:

My best 1/4 Mile Time has been 14.77@92.5. That was with the rear seats out, the silencers out of the air box, no air filter, and an nice ice-pack on the engine for about 45 minutes prior to running.

Her best 1/4 time is a 14.3@97. (That is altitude corrected BTW because we live 5300' up!)
Are you sure you're correcting it properly? That just seems way too good to be true, even if it is a corrected #.

oh well, I guess my GT is one of the slow ones as I only ran a 14.65 without the back seat, and with 18 lbs of boost, and with the amx intake. I guess I could refactor it, then it would be 11.22 at 117mph. now that's better.

Not to be critical here,,,, BUT,,,, That is not real pretty. I believe that the HP / Torq curves should cross at around 5400 RPM. Not totally sure if it's 5200 or 5400, but it is a CONSTANT. I've never seen any that didn't. I think you've got some poor results there. Possibly some bad sensors,,, just looking at the choppyness on all of the curves. Coulda been a loose connection to the puter. Were they all done in 4th gear ???

To see the torque drop off that much is a sure sign that something is not right. All of these cars are showing higher torque numbers that horsepower numbers, but that differential is significant.
Yes, it should absolutely cross at 5400, if not thier is something way wrong.

The wiggly lines on the graph usually represent uncorrected numbers.

Damn you guys are critical. Correction times for 5300' is .9341 for ET and 1.07 for MPH. Dont like it? Take it up with NHRA (its thier OFFICAL correction factors). Dynos are real either? I dont know what to tell you. Believe it or not. I have noticed that most of you are comparing your "regular" GT Turbo to our HIGH OUPUT GT Turbo. [xx(]

I thought all GTs where high output???[:I]
Unless you have a special engine or moded.

215 HP in '03, 220HP in '04. The 5 HP bump came with new injectors, nothing else.
Turbo lite are 180 HP but nothing has to do with hardware.
They are just detuned. get stage 1 for the turbo lite and it bups to 135HP. Guess it becomes a "Super High output".

Just two cents.

Hate to burst your bubble there Chief, but *every* PT Cruiser GT is a High-Output Turbo. Model year 2003 cars that were GTs were all the HO Turbo (215HP), but they didn't badge it as such as this was the only turbo option available at that time.Starting in model year 2004 they had an option for a 'Turbo Lite' (180HP), which was the same exact engine, but it was detuned electronically (by the computer), and was only available in the Touring Models. All GTs have the same HO Engine, with 2003 models being only 5HP less due to the smaller injectors that became standard on 2004+ models.

Do us a favor and post a scan of your time slip from the track. It would make it a little more believeable.Give us the actual time you ran...*something*! I'm actually trying to believe this, but it just isn't possible on a stock car, Dude.

Oh, and how do your dyno scans show you putting out not only 200.3HP/229 lb-ft on one run, but 192.2HP/290lb-ft on another ? That's all screwey! Are the dyno numbers corrected too? I sure as hell hope so because at 5300 feet, there is no way you are outdoing my car by 16HP on one run, and 45lb-ft on another, *especially* when I am at around 1000 feet elevation. Even corrected, my max numbers were 184.63/237.86 *on the same run*.There's no way your stock car is outdoing anyone else's that is '...totally stock...' by that much.It just isn't happening.
If you ran that time and pulled those numbers, then great for you, but you sure as hell aren't doing it in a '...totally stock...' car with an AutoStick.

Trust me, I usually try and give people the benefit of the doubt, but this is a little out there.

Ok, ok. You got me on the all 04 GTs being the "high output" version. I just looked it up on the Chrysler site. I'll admit defeat[B)] When we bought ours there were some that had the high output badge and some that didnt but I guess those were the 03s. Ill get the 15.3 slip scaned and posted for you as well as the link to the correction factors (you can do your own math). I still dont know what to say about the dyno. We were there when it was done, but to no coincedence to this thread, we were going to get it re-dyno's soon cause of the recent install of the Mopar exhaust. When we get that, I will post that one up and if you like, we can all start over on that. Last thing I want to do is make enemies here. I joined up so I can learn more about the Cruiser and compare ours to the rest of you. I apoligize for anything taken wrongly, but one thing I am not doing is lying about any numbers I have posted. I have no reason to do so dont want to be taken like that.

It is quite possible that the others you saw with the "2.4L Turbo" badges but without the "High Output" were 04 Touring Editions with the new 180HP Turbo Lite motors. The only difference between the 180HP and the 220HP motors is the PCM. The programming in the PCM essentially detunes the motor so that it will run on regular unleaded gas, plus it gave DCX a mid line engine for marketing purposes. Adding Stage 1 to either a Turbo Lite or an HO engine gives the same result, however, as again the only thing you're changing is the PCM. I should know, I added S1 to my Turbo Lite Platinum Series and can now light the front tires from a 20mph roll. With an auto trans. Easily.
