Tommy, I'll let the Turbo guys answer more completely than myself but I will say that if your looking for 400hp, your better beef up the transaxle, front axles and anything else that has to do with the drivetrain. You might even want to get into the internals of the engine too.

oh most definitely, i haven't seen beefed up axels for the pt but for the dodge there's several choices, but i totally understand where your coming from, this is a project,i have a chevy 2500hd, daily driver, and o5' c6 worked for fun 600hp dyno at rear wheels, and now i fell in love with the pt's, there so unique, you don't see many custom ones driving around, and yes when the mechanical is done i'm going with some sick ..paint...we do have injectors//pump/regulator,i just have to weld on the exhaust side of turbo a flange to match up, its coming from a eclipse/i need a manifold/wastegate blow-off valve inter-cooler,UP-SIZED...LOL,3K MILES on it,

its a auto couldnt find a decent 05 manual, i specifaclly looked for the 05 for the ,model year improvements, i am going to do suspension, lower rear 1.5/1.3 front, all eibach rear roll bar, plus 1' spacer, when we put drilled rotors and ceramics on this weekend, i have a laundry list, 400 isnt to much, i think itll be perfect match, i wont drive that 30 boost all the time, but sure will be nice g its there

There are Performance complete NEW CV axles available for the PT Cruiser.
Guaranteed Horsepower rated: 350-550- aprox $900 ea.
The reason you don't read about them is I doubt anybody has ever gotten them that was a member on a PT Cruiser forum?

400whp is attainable. But as the saying goes..

“Speed costs money. How fast do you want to go?”

chromer don likes this.
