Default ADJUSTMENT OF WASTEGATE ON 2003

IS THER AN EASY WAT TO ADJUST THE WASTEGATE ON A 2003? CURRENT BOOST IS 10LBS WITH A PERIODIC SPIKE TO 12 LBS. THE EGT INDICATES 1300 1400 UNDER BOOST AND ANY WHERE FROM 900-1200 UNDER NORMAL CONDITIONS.

The cheapest I have seen (I have this mod in mine).

Exhaust Depot spring mod.

I bought the Specter, chromed carburator return spring set. (Got it at P#p B@ys for $5.00). I use the thin one. I get 12PSI in first, 15 PSI droping down to 14 in second, 16PSI droping down to 15 in third, 16 Constant in fourth untill the PCM opens the wastegate and BOV when I reach 128[?]

It will take you less than five minutes to install it if you use a needle nose plier. one side goes to the wastegate actuator rod in the bend, the other side hooks perfectly in an empty hole in the side of the engine head next to the airbox. I will take a picture and post it.

You can use the wider spring, but I never got the courage to test it

Ian

I only drank a few beers while taking the pictures[^]

Then, the camara didn't cooperated with me, It displayed "Card Error". Gues I clicked on something and erased all the pictures...

Yesterday I had another of my project vehicles in for performance upgrades I finished with it at 11:00PM...

Enough of excuses here are the pictures

This is where the spring hooks up in the engine block.

Here is the other end of the spring installed to the wastegate control rod.

The kit comes with two springs. use the smaller diameter one.
I use the larger one as an instalation/removal tool, to pull the sprig from the control rod to the enfine block hole.
