Hello again,

I called Random Technologies and they have a universal one that would fit to a Borla 2.5 exhaust. The back goes from 2.5 to 2.25 to the cat. so it would fit the stock PT cat. Would it be better to get a custom made cat. that would meet the exhaust at 2.5? The cat. would be ODB II and all that. Borla only makes 2 exhaust systems at 2.5. One is a split tip single and the other is a Dual Tip, one on each side. Is there a big difference in getting a single 2.5 and a dual 2.5??

Thanks,

Don

I recently visited www.ajusa.com and they have a 2.5 cat/back Borla exhaust system. Looked pretty nice. Anybody know where to find a fitted or universal high flow cat. converter??
Thanks,
Donny
Do a search on MSN or Google - I did once, and they are out there.

I am interested in BTG, but they don't have 2.5 cat/back system. If I upgrade to Turbo I would need more flow right? Thats the only reason I am looking at 2.5 exhausts.

Thanks,

Donny

Depends on how much you are going to mod your stock NA engine. If you are only going to push 5#'s of boost (about all that is safe on a NA engine without building a stronger bottom end) then a 2.25 would probably be okay.

As I've been looking for minimum 2.5" exhausts, I've noticed a lot of BTG exhausts for sale used. Don't know why.

Hey Cal Cruzer,

I am planning on a Supercharger from PT-Tuning. Do you think 2.25 BTG's v.s. 2.5's will be a big difference in performance?

Again, if you are going with a modest boost and a strictly stock bottom end, I doubt that you will see an improvement with a 2.5" setup. Mopar suggests the 2.5 for the GT that is looking at using a stage 1 or 2 (240+ hp or more). I am sure that PTTuning will advise you against too much boost with the Whipple anyhow and stock bottom end. I think it would be fine for that application.
