After my bad experience I finally got around to modifying the UCP I got from Adam to get both it and my HKS bov away from the positive battery terminal. I'd been running with the factory UCP and I missed the boost staying power that Adam's UCP gives.
Here's a pic where I cut and spliced together the UCP so I could turn the bottom part towards the intercooler inlet. ![]() Here's the way the UCP was installed the first time. ![]() Here's the way it is installed now. ![]() There is really a big difference in the way it is installed now. The bov is now away from the positive terminal. The UCP is now about 3/8" away from the + terminal. The clamp is also now wrapped in black electical tape so it is now insulated, too. There will be no repeat of my previous problem. After I was done with the install I took my GT out to the back roads for a run. Man, I missed the extra power Adam's UCP gives us [?] [8)] |

Adam was real careful when he installed mine last week. I'll post the pictures as soon as I find where Adam's brother put them.
