I was interested in seeing what the PT could do with a few bolt on's and a set of drag radials, so after weeks of contemplating, I gave in and purchased a set of BFG G-Force Drag Radials. I had a chance to test them out today at the drag strip.
I ran the car after arriving at the track with the drag radials at 37 PSI and pulled a 60' of 2.3 and a 1/4 mile of 14.5 @95 for a baseline run. The weather was around 75-77 degrees. My modifications (outside of the drag radials) include Stage 1, a 2.5" Heartthrob Exhaust, and a K&N FIPK. Here are a few results, all run with the traction control off: Run 1, At 28.5 PSI: 60' : 2.104 1/4 : 14.233 @ 97.96 MPH Run 2, At 26.5 PSI: 60' : 2.099 1/4 : 14.275 @ 96.59 Run 3, At 23.5 PSI: 60' : 2.074 1/4 : 14.197 @96.44 ![]() All in all, I'd say the PT had a great day! |

Blueberry,
Did I hear you say you were in MD? What strip is that? I know of Capitol, Cecil co, and I think 75-80 is still there, but never heard of xtreme truck or what ever?[:I] Tom |

Tom-
The 'Truck N America' at the top is just an advertisement (I accidently cut the top off when I cropped the image) -- I normally race at Capitol, but since it rained on Friday, I had the chance to take the car to Maryland International Raceway today for their T&T session.

Nice times girl! [^] Its too bad that what DRs help in times, they take away in mph. 14.1@96 is badass! 13s are soooo close
May want to buy a helmet soon... ![]()

Great job Blueberry, thanks for the efforts. Those times are better than I would have expected and well into the territory of some of the quickest factory stock muscle cars from 1969 - 1970. Of course that's without their having the benefit of slicks too.
I've ordered my stage 1 now too, and I will have about the same mods as you (w/o the DR's). So it's nice to know what my car will be capable of - thanks again for sharing. I also have the Maxxfab 3 inch downpipe and cat. Have you considered that addition? |
