I was going to say, generally - bigger turbo = slower spool. Does your race car have a big or custom turbo yet or still stock?

Messing with the turbo can be very worthwhile, if you are honest about what you are trying to do. I have a TT Stealth and those have 2 very small turbos for quick spool. The guys that went to big turbos were actually getting better mpg because the big turbo was keeping them out of boost more at cruising speeds.

*.....The primary input in determining which turbocharger is appropriate is to have a target horsepower in mind. This should be as realistic as possible for the application. Remember that engine power is generally proportional to air and fuel flow. Thus, once you have a target power level identified, you begin to hone in on the turbocharger size, which is highly dependent on airflow requirements......

I have the tiny stock turbo still. With over 315000 km on it. Spools up pretty well instantly. Has shaft play up and down, tight in and out 😝
