Upgrade your camshafts; from ebay
Brian Crower Cams Stage 4 Dodge Neon SRT4 PT Cruiser 2.4L SRT-4 Camshafts BC0163

Complete car polyurethane bushing replacement + shifter bushings; and you want race engine mount inserts

Short throw shifter (if you're manual) Maddog Shifters

04-06 PT Cruiser PCM re-program stage 2
2004-2006 Pt Cruiser

I'd recommend buying his computer software as well, so that when you have your car dyno-tuned the fuel maps can be tweaked to get more power output.

3" electronic valve cut-out that can be calibrated to a wide-open throttle position
NeedsWings Performance Products. DMH 3" Exhaust Cutout Opener

Solid flywheel conversion kit to replace the dual-mass flywheel which absorbs too much energy and is heavy. get the solid flywheel lightened and balanced before installing.

look in my signature for the part number for a limited slip differential.

obviously high quality performance tires like the michelin pilot cup series.

Keep with the stock turbo until after you try upgrading the computer software and then tuning it to get maximum results and if you're still not satisfied then you can get upgraded turbo kits but you have to shop around in the SRT-4 section maybe the stage 3 turbo upgrade for the srt-4 neon

rockauto - it's valeo branded. if you just pull up the car details and transmission clutch section it's in there. just a warning that the slave cylinder busted off during shipping so keep your old one just in case if there is no issue with it

Cams should literally be one of the last modifications on the turbo 2.4L engines if your goal is performance. There are a metric ton of supporting modifications that should be performed prior to upgrading cams, including a ported cylinder head. Anyone installing cams in the A853 engine without a ported head is simply doing it for the sound/mod list appeal. There have been fully-documented builds making 500+hp on a stock head and stock cams, with cars driven well into the 10s in the 1/4 mile. Not to mention the powerband with a stock head and stock turbo on a set of BC4s would be godawful. I didn't even go with BC4s for my build because I was concerned that I'd sacrifice too much midrange power..

Everything else, however, I agree with. I haven't had any experience with Kevin, so I can't speculate on his products, but you can easily pick up a Diablosport Predator, inTune (less preferable) or Trinity and find a reputable CMR tuner (Nigel, Duster, etc.) to tune your vehicle as well.

i'm buying a 6lb heavier RAM flywheel for my Ford beater. makes for harder launches and easier low rpm moping along on the street. the cam i picked says "Good drivability down to 2100 rpm, lumpy idle, rpm range 2600-6200" the 7lb heavier one should help make the driveability tolerable at an even lower rpm, and should let me reduce the recommended idle of 950 down to 700 or so to save gas and make the lopey idle sound even more sexy.

i would not waste the money on a light weight unit for the PT as you will never rev it high enough to see any benefit... unless you're shifting at 7-8k. you will likely notice the negatives not the benefits as the PT is already overly heavy and a torqueless turd at low rpms. a heavy flywheel is a good crutch for things like that.

just trying to give advice that keeps the car fun/easy to drive around town. maybe i'm nuts.

Camshaft(s) and the choice should be a strong consideration when ever you are doing serious engine modification and what you expect to achieve for your project. No Professional Racer or Performance engine builder would leave them out of a discussion for use. Also Professional (trained) ECU/EFI Calibration Technicians will advise to get them installed before they do a custom Calibration on your Computer to get the optimal engine output. Most Performance Head Porting Shops will ask what camshaft(s) you are going to use and many will ask to have them to set up up specifically for the Performance head work contracted.

The best advise when camshaft(s) are considered is to talk to the shop that is doing your Performance Engine or head work for advise or even better the camshaft manufactures direct. The better one will ask that you fill a very detailed questionnaire about your engine, drive-train, etc.

Yep. I want see this bad boy. That's a lot of mod work that most PT owners don't do anymore.
