Well, I just put a Stant 45788, 180 degree thermostat in mine after flushing the engine and the sum beech is running hotter than it ever has. Yes, cooling fans are both working but it got up to one mark under the H. This thing is really pissing me off. I'm done with it for the night. I'll check it again tomorrow.

did you use the bleeder valve and performed three driving cycles of heat/cool-down to purge the system of air bubbles ?
look in the service manual procedure for re-filling the coolant system and it's not obvious

Nope. That sum beech is froze up tighter than dicks hat band. I put it up on my ramps and ran it for a while and let it regurgitate a few times. Obviously it had a LARGE air pocket as I finally got enough coolant in it to where it's staying cool now. I haven't taken it on more than a 30 minute drive, but for those 30 minutes, it stayed between the 2nd and 3rd line above C. And I was running the a/c while checking it out. Seems okay for now.

Hey Nitro, why don't you send me your block tester and let me use it? I don't have the $150 that the parts stores want for a deposit on theirs. I know I'd get it back, but I don't have it after paying all of my bills for the month. I PROMISE I'll send it back to you.

Have you ever heard of Kroil? It's kinda like pb blaster or wd40 on steroids... Lol...i use it alot. It's amazing. It's kinda hard to find. Not many stores carry it. I get it from work so im not sure who carries it. My bleeder was frozen but after about 20 minutes soaked in kroil it came free. If you ever come across any you should grab a can. It smells like pinesol... Lol
