Hi all,
Well I got the PT up on my Rhino ramps and scoped it all out. Sure does look like a smooth exhaust run. What does everyone reccomend for a do it yourself axle back muffler? I see the Heart Throb and BTG are each about $225. I do not want a loud exhaust, and do not want that highway drone, but would like to open it up some, am I asking for too much? Also, is the catalytic a bottleneck in the system? is there a bolt on replacement or is that for a muffler shop to install? My old saturn went 180,000 miles on the original Cat before it had to be replaced to meet smog. on the saturn I had my local shop weld on some generic performance muffler and it was a bit louder outside the car, not much louder inside. Thanks Mike '04 Elec Blue Touring Turbo - Brand X and more to come! |

If you do not want a loud exhaust with "highway drone" then do not go with BTG without adding a resonator. Read this thread: http://www.ptcruiserlinks.com/forum/...?TOPIC_ID=8654
