Default Magnaflow on eBay, good deal?

Hi all,

Found this

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=7909990733

Seems like a good deal, with free shipping and a high flow Cat also.

Anyone with this system? I am looking for a 'better' sound, but not loud. from what I read, this system with resonator should be about right, thanks for any input,

Mike

Would rather have a 2 1/2" catback system, especially for that much money.

I had that system, without the cat, for my GT. Sounded awful, especially when you got on it. It is better suited for the N/A PT's, which is why it is now on my sisters car. Save some more for the Mopar/Borla or make your own Flowmaster system like I did.

Wait for the trubendz system. I talked to them on Friday and their system is ready to go and should be available and posted on their website any day now. Price?
Their turbo back 2 1/2 w/3" CAT is going to be a bolt on system.
The only thing is they supply their system with cheap ass u-bolt clamps instead of band clamps? I hope this is not an indication of the quality of their system? Damn, I hope I am not back at the drawing board!

I had the same system on my 03GT and liked it. [8D]

The ebay price is very good. However, for the same or a little more money you can find something with a 2.5 inch pipe. With Magnaflow you are paying for the name and all of that highly-polished stainless-steel which does look very nice. But, who is going to look under your car to see if the pipe and resonator are polished or not--not me. Just my two cents. Good luck.

Gary, when you had that system on your PT can you try to rate the sound? I am hoping for a 'better' sound, but not real loud or rice sounding, and deffinately do not want a highway drone,

Thanks

Mike

Speaking of the Mopar/Borlas, anyone have any suggestions for a vendor with a decent price on a set of the duals?? Thanks

MrBlonde - who or what is thrift?

Thanks Mike
It was a "deep full-sound"--somewhat on the "loud side"--definitely not rice sounding and without a "harmoonic drone" at 3000rpm. However, I had the Magnaflow cat-back system with the resonator. Recommend that you attend a PT Event in your area and hear the system--that's the best way to decide. Good luck.

Tommy Thrift, he works at a dealership and passes great deals onto us. Just go in the venders and buyers forum and look for the name TThrift, then email him asking for a price on the mopar duals for the GT.
