I have an '05 limited turbo lite that started having misfiring and stalling. Eventually it just wouldn't start altogether (Though I had tried another ignition coil before it was died completely with the same issue)
The codes I had were for misfire (but I can't remember the exact ones and my battery has been out long enough to clear them.) The car turns over fine, battery is good, replaced the cam and crankshaft sensors, I replaced the plugs and checked the plug wires with my multimeter and they are in spec. Plugs weren't getting spark, ignition coil wasn't sending spark. the coil connector was getting a good 12.5v on all three pins, however the signal wires weren't cycling and had next to no current. It's enough to light up an LED but on a another PT I have the signal wires could light up a headlight bulb and it blew out my resistorless LED I was testing with. I checked the wires from the connector to the PCM pins and I got half an ohm, so the wires seem fine. Is there anything else I need to check before determining that it's the PCM? And if it is the PCM where's a decent place to get a replacement? |

Sounds to me like you need to check and see if the timing belt is broken. How many miles are on it and do you know if it's ever been changed?

I second the motion to contact Myckee. He's helped out several folks on this forum with good PCM's.

With the connector unplugged, the center pin only should have 12.5 volts.

I was testing the wires while connected.
