He does have a good excuse, he wasn't driving a red line. If he was driving a redline, he should of thought about buying an SRT-4.

Thats like saying I lost to a vette only because I didnt have a lambo. Not an excuse.

also, He punched it first and that made me want to punch it. So, he thought he could beat my PT[|)].

P.S I wouldnt even try to beat a Redline.

Handles better...I'd leave the "LOT" out. Seems on a road course the SRT-4's superior speed makes up for the improved handling of the Ion RedLine. That Saturn would have to handle a "LOT" better to keep the Dodge at bay

Oh, I'd give him a go all right! Chances are good the RedLine driver is some kid who thinks he's all that and a bag of chips but in reality can't shift to save his butt. I'd hand him his butt while showing him the tail lights of my PT. And hey, if he can shift and he wins then so what...I got beat by a faster car - I can deal with that. Better yet, take him from a roll - he's got no torque compared to us.

I left a "LOT" in there because thats what Road & Track said. ( i think, i lost the mag) although, you are right, the neon did beat it in the long run. I am not neon or ion bashing, every car has its strong points.

I'm not bashing either, and I couldn't agree more with your last comment! Hey, I love my PT but right out of the box it certainly isn't what I'd call a great handling car! That, however, can be changed...........

I think Road & Track has a problem if they could only drive an 04 SRT-4 with a 14.5sec 1/4 mile. Kids could even get 14.2 pretty easily. Of course the 04 SRT-4 driver could have been as bad as me in driving[]. Or perhaps the magazine needed to keep the cars close.........

As for handling, I need to read the article...........
