Cruisergeo,
That is exactly the reasons for it. Horsepower, fuel economy, 1000000-mile warranty, never need a replacement. All you need to do to this item is clean it with the "Recharger" kit sold at parts store. The reason this magical Item works so good is because it is made from gauze instead of paper like the factory one. Try to breathe thru a piece of paper, it is almost impossible, now try to breathe thru a piece of cloth, a hole lot better. That is the idea of the K&N filter they add some sticky oil to the gauze, giving it the red appearance, in order for the dust to stay on the filter. There is a rule that for every pound of air that gets to the engine you will make ten horses on the crank. This is volume not pressure. |

I finally gave up and ordered one online. Not instant gratification but it teaches me patients.
Inferno Red GT, chrome wheels, chrome AMP fuel door, chrome side spears, PT Cruiser 3rd light diffuser, silencers removed from airbox...ain't this car fun?!?!? |

I ordered one through Summit last night. I wasn't charged shipping for UPS ground. I did add a set of UltraSeal head gaskets for the Impala which brought the total to over $100. Maybe it was free shipping on orders over $100.
According to UPS it should be here in MD tomorrow. Summit is quick. Black '03 PT Turbo Black '94 Impala SS |

I had to grin when I red this one: "A pound of air" Am I missing something, or is that a whole lotta air?!? --------------------------- "There is a rule that for every pound of air that gets to the engine you will make ten horses on the crank.
