GT EGT/Boost Pod Pics

I was wondering if the Autometer gauge pod replaces the stock A-pillar trip piece, or if it goes over top of the stock one and secure to the stock trim piece? I'm hesitant to drill or cut any stock parts since I just bought the car, but I need to get some gauges in there.

It goes on top of the stock trim. I think you have to drill 4 small holes for "push-pins" to hold it on. Replacement A Pillar trim runs around $19.00. Not a high dollar item to replace, so you c an afford to be creative..

Rip, my setup is not stock. Only the boost gauge comes stock. It has the warning red line at 900C.

Its simular to the one shown above thats drilled into the downpipe, only that the bung is smaller. Its a 1/8npt, i think the one above is a 1/4" NPT.

Exhaust Depot, mine reaches 900c just driving 1/2 mile on easy throttle and runs between 1000-1200 in normal driving, so I don't know the difference between gauges or engines, will have to research it more, and its post turbo, which should be slightly cooler than pre-turbo.

Ripster what kind of paint did you use on pillar pod was it primer or regular paint and brand name ,please. Yours blends in much better and looks great. Thanks

THANKS RIPSTER -Printed your photo of the EGT probe and showed it to the installer a local speed shop....installed for $25! (Probe only - installed gauges myself)
Much apprieciated...works great!
800-1000 @ hot idle
1000-1300 @ mixed driving
Gone as high as 1350-1400 @ WOT (w/boost ON)- cools quickly to 1200-1300.
Lunar series looks awesome - matches perfectly!
