OK, I want to buy a set of ignition wires for my 2003 GT, but I can't find them anywhere.
Specifically, I want the Magnecor 8mm or an equivalent. The Magnecor website shows part number 40231, but nobody seems to sell it or even list it as a PT part (they show it as a non-turbo Cirrus part?). In another post on this forum somebody stated pn 45428, but Magnecor shows that as the non-turbo part number. Several PT dedicated websites list only one set, the non-turbo part, and don't even mention a choice between turbo and non. Which part number is correct? And, where can I actually buy a set of them? |

I have a question in regard to changing the wires and plugs. How difficult a job is it.
It looks to me like there are a few major components that have to be removed to do this. Please tell me if I'm wrong. Thanks |

Super easy to change out. Just changed mine out and I actually ordered the kit from sparkplugs.com Ran me like 69.99 for NGK Iridium Plugs and Wires, 9mm. [?] Anyhow, the plugs are easily accessible all 4 of em are on top on the sides of the manifold. Don't need to, but makes the job easier to change out plug 1 disconnect the sensor above it by pulling out the red clip and then pinching the actually sensor and for plugs 3 and 4 remove the throttle plate cover, just pinch the two clips and it removes easily. [8] Need anymore help, just ask, I could get pics for ya, but gotta wait till the rain stops.

Thanks for all the info! Sounds easy enough.
Did you any anti-seize when you installed your plugs or special conductor grease on the plug wire connectors? Also, one last thing, what did you gap your new plugs at .050 or .042 to .044 that I have seen posted on some boards? Thanks again for all the help! '04 GT Turbo |

If you buy the NGK Iridiums you can use the factory settings from NGK and they will run very smooth both at idle and full throttle. I chose to follow Champion and NGK which says not to use any lubricant on the plug threads. My MOPAR wires came with special greese for the terminals amd I did use them on both ends.
