PTHAMMER - 2003 GT Turbo Stage I, PT Teaser front w/Cowl Induction Hood,(notice the term Induction) and yes air goes into engine compartment from the pressure off the windshield through the back of the hood, at highway speeds, as this hood was developed for the racing environment. PTeaser claims a 20% increase in air flow with grille and hood. Yes we checked and the air does go into the engine compartment. The Turbo is water and oil cooled, by lowering the engine compartment helps lower the temp on everything. OH YES, 267hp on the dyno, 1/4mi 96mph in 14.56 sec. on stock Goodyear tires. Running a little rich on the dyno so will install a boost controller next to pick up a few more hp's. For what it's worth PThammer[:I]

Let's see, hot engine air about 150¡ trying to cool a 900¡ turbo, Yeah, that engine air is cooler so it appears it will work to cool the hotter turbo.

That PTeazer front end should give you a big improvement in cooling everything under the hood if I'm any judge. I know that you've a lot on your plate with lots of mods coming up but is there any chance that you could do a before and after under hood temp reading? That would tell the tale. |
