Mean, I've often seen the VAK ucp mentioned as a good value for gain. I's like to see some real stats on this since I have Stage I, Magnecors, AMX, cleared intake box and hyperground.

Thanks, Bob

Who on this list is running a WGA and boost controller besides TThrift?

If so how about some feedback. I have Stg1 and I would guess an exhaust upgrade and then a WGA/boost controller would follow but I want to know if the WGA/Boostcontroller will fight the PCM and how to do a work around.

Mike

The PCM will only pull back timing if you go beyond 16psi ... I think. Anyway, anything after that, you have to clamp the MAP sensor.

I would go for number 2 and 3 first, then down the road get the sway bars. Just my 2 cents

I don't have any stats. There was a big difference when I installed the VAK. When I took it off ( long story ) my GT felt less powerful and I missed the extra power the VAK gave. I put it back on and loved it. Adam and Mike put it on Mike's car and dynoed it. Here is Adams site.

This is a hard question to answer because most people will put an exhaust on.. put other parts on.. and speed is addicting.. so next they will add.. stage 1.. other parts.. VAK system..ect.. but then get to a point where the size exhaust wont let out the amount of air they are wanting there cars to push through..

This is the hard part.. The PT is realy easy to get into the mid 14's.. here is a list of parts that I see track proven..
1)Stage 1 (Tommy is the man to get this from)

2)exhaust (I love the MOPAR exhaust but they dont make a 3" so if you want to get into the 13's then look elsewhere)

3)VAK system

4)lowering spring and stiffer struts

Thats it.. for a mid 14 second car you are going to have a lot of fun

For a low 14 second car or faster..
1)(Same as above.. substitute the exhaust for a 3" version)

2)Boost controler (electric or manual)

3)waste gate (stock one leaks at high boost and is not designed for high boost that is needed to get into the 13's)

4)Possible upgraded transmision if auto.. if stick then better clutch

5)Piggy back system is good.. then you can tune your car way better

6)slicks or drag radials, helmit, roll cage..ect..

Hope that helps.. sure I missed a few small things.. some cool prototypepower stickers I heard help like 5 HP.. but I have not taken them to the dyno yet....

Oh ya .. find a local track and practice.. practice.. practice.. you will have lots of fun.. find other PT people or anyone and just go ..

Gunner,
Since you've got S1, exhaust, & intake, you've pretty much maxed out S1 w/o controlling boost. The hard uppercharge pipe, Adam's Pipe, is a really nice addition(I've got one w/o S1), but it my not give you the boost you expect because you've already gotten used to higher power levels with your mods. A Electronic Boost Controller or ajustable waste gate actuator, IMO, for your mods is the best bang on striaght line performance. However, without a set of beefy sway bars you're going to be all over the place trying to get that power down on the road. The eibach's are nice, but for the $$ you're only getting a front bar that is 1, yes 1mm, in diameter bigger. The stock GT front bar is alreay 24mm, the eibach 25. IMO, that is too much $$ for 1mm. I wouldn't put anything less than the Progress 27mm F, or Suspension techniques 1 1/8"F(29.5mm). And they are both better priced than the eibach's. Just adding a rear bar to your cruiser is going to really make a difference and that isn't too costly although you do need to purchase about $70-80 worth of factory parts to do it. If I were you, I would get a full set, F & R, of Progress or Suspension Techniques bars. You'll be mighty impressed with the improved traction and corning ability you're PT will have.
Jaspersnow...
You don't know what you're missing on the sway bars. I think 1ptturbo has this one nailed.
Turbozcs...
The wga/boost controller won't fight the S1 unless you run over 20psi. then it might kick on you. S1 is supposed to be 18psi max. I have read some people are running a spike to 20psi then dropping back to 18 psi without problems. Beyond that you'll need the greddy eo01/e-manage or the psi-fi piggy back to really get more out of S1. Both systems tune your fuel injectors and do other nifty stuff! The turbo back exhausts over 2.5" are overkill unless you go all the way to the piggy back systems since the turbo exhaust outlet is only 2.5"
just my .02...
