GO WITH A HIGH FLOW CAT OR CAT BYPASS AND HIGH FLOW EXAUST WITH A TURBO MUFFLER. THIS WILL MAKE A 10-15 % INCREASE IN POWER. YOU WILL NOTICE A HUGE DIFFERENCE WITH THIS ON A TURBO CAR. YOUR TURBO WILL SPOOL FASTER, REDUCE LAG AND GENERATE HIGHER BOOST. CAT'S ARE WAY TO RESTRICTIVE.

Hit your Cap Lock button and loose all caps...considered bad etiquette
on the Internet. Also we appreciate your enthusiasim but you need to read for a while and maybe do a search. Exhaust systems and cat-back exhausts have been mentioned hundreds of times already.

your question is best answered in two words " amx intake" the most fun and power and mpg for the least money $130.00 = the best intake for the PT Cruiser turbo.

If you are talking turbo up to airbox you can make your own for under $50. [?]

sure you can make it, but, infact amx will tell you what you need and where to get it but for the time and labor the amx intake is the way to go, it installs in less than 5 min. and looks great., the parts from home depot looks like s***. but that is a personal thing.

Home Depot? The 2 1/2" X 3" 90 degree coupler from ATP Turbo, the chrome 3" pipe which I had from an intake (You can get 3" exhaust pipe and paint it to match your car's color) and the 3" hose was custom ordered from NAPA Auto. No crappy looking parts in my GT. If you want to spend the money, don't have the skills or are just lazy then buy Jim's. If you want to take pride in the fact that you made it and saved over 1/2 the money in the process then do it. I realize some people would settle for crap in making one, not me [?]

Mean, I've often seen the VAK ucp mentioned as a good value for gain. I's like to see some real stats on this since I have Stage I, Magnecors, AMX, cleared intake box and hyperground.

Thanks, Bob
I don't have any stats. There was a big difference when I installed the VAK. When I took it off ( long story ) my GT felt less powerful and I missed the extra power the VAK gave. I put it back on and loved it. Adam and Mike put it on Mike's car and dynoed it. Here is Adams site.
