Would appreciate you guys who have installed controllers to look at this link and tell me what you think; especially you Krieger.

you don't need to even spend five bucks, just go down to your local pet shop and pay a buck fifty for a brass fish tank air controller....dirty little secret is that is what all single stage boost controllers are, just fancied up a bit. and I suppose a litte more durable.

Considering the HIGH temps under the hood of the PT I would only use heavy duty materials. No fish tank I know of sits in a 200+ degree F room.

The PT Cruiser stock PCM has very narrow perimeters for engine operation when it comes to increasing engine output specifically by manipulating manually the boost levels.

If anyone is going to experiment I highly recommend having a wide-band AFR to monitor during the trails.

Over the years there have been limited information reported from PT Cruiser forums of members using manual boost controllers without concern for the overall effects and seldom reports of the AFR effects using them.
