Will the Short Throws work on the GT's

Why don't you guys just cut the stem a little shorter, Steve did that and he likes it. I would do it, but I'm nervous I might go to short/

Turbomangt I'm already using B&M sport shifter which has shortened the throws ! The reason for the pics is JeffB is a manufacturer of ureathane shift bushings and the GT tranny is different from the na cruiser 5-speed or the neon . In most cases bushing replacement firms up the shifts,making them less sloppy. Shortening shifts requires either a different shifter or shortening the arm on the tranny itself.
