If you are still using the junk factory ones you may have to change them sooner. Aftermarket ones are a lot better and will last longer.

Agree. I put Crane wires in my '02 (RaceAndStreet)at about 25,000 miles. They were still fine when I traded the car at 87,000, but even with ChampionPlatinums, I needed another set of plugs due to a slight miss at about 75-80,000 miles.

My Daughter put on 60,000 miles on her MOPAR High Performance wire set and they looked and performed as good as the day she bought them!

After my first set of stock wires went bad before 7,500 miles I bought a set of Bosch premium wires with a life time warrenty from Autozone for the same price as the stock wires. The bosch had 80 olms resistance and the stock wires had 3,200 olms resistance. They also come with removable shields. I currently have 23,000 miles on them and all is just fine!

It is my understanding that Champion Platinum spark plugs are fine for N/A PT engines but you should replace your stock spark plugs in the turbo engines with Champion Copper Plus plugs since the platinum plugs will cause "knock". [:0]

If you run the NGK plugs either the #4306 (lztr5a-13)copper or #2315(lztr6aix-13) iridium which are 2 heat ranges cooler than stock you will be ok. The stock plugs will burn up and ceramic around the electrode will crack and fall into the engine. The dealer replaced 2 sets of stock plugs in my car and plug wires in the first 7,500 miles.I now run the iridium NGK plugs with a smooth idle and smooth to red line.I gapped the plugs @.045 to .047, some SRT guys gap around .035, but that didn't work well in the PT.

I say go with NGK Iridiums and change them every 40,000 miles and change the wires every other plug change. What say anyone else??

Recommend you go with Mopar Copper Plus Champion Spark Plugs (Part #RE14MCC5). [|)]
