Installed my TurboXs Dual Stage Controller and Gauges this weekend.
Oh man you guys werent kidding!! Set low stage all the way down for gas mileage. Set high stage peaking at 16 steady at 14. Can go to high/low @ any time using the switch on the dash. Tires spin @ WOT from a standing start. (HIGH Boost/Trac ON!) Unbelievable! Well worth the $$$. Thanks everyone for the R&D info. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Thanks! Low Stage is set ALL the way down until tight. This way using the switch more like an on/off than low/high.
I ran one guy this weekend - a VIPER!!!! NO im not kidding.... of course - you already know what happened! He GAVE me 2 or 3 car lengths @ the line.... I think because he never saw a PT spin its tires!! Then he ripped it and was OUT!! Stopped at the light a mile down I said, "Great car, man." He nodded, "What year is that?" "2003." I said. "Stock Turbo?" "Yup." "Very nice." He gave me a nod. "Hey, Thanks." Then the light changed. Hey at least he had respect!! That was cool. |

Hey RobGT, what did you mount the dual boost contoller to? Also, does the plastic piece on the secondary boost contoller twist or something? I can see in your pics that it is turned to a different angle. Is there a screw im not seeing? I installed my a-pillar guage pod today with the same guages as you (autometer ultralite boost+EGT,) and the boost controller is going in tomorrow (also same, turboXS dual). How have things worked out in the past two weeks with your setup? I can't wait to boost up.

Rob, If you have access to the track, Try to make two passes with the following setup:
First pass, full boost from the line up to the 1/4 mile. Let it cool down or spray some water on the intercooler. Second pass, use the low setting in first gear, switch to high boost from second all the way to the 1/4 mile mark. If my R&D is correct you will make better times on the seccond pass. This is due to the 60 Feet Traction issue. I was making 2.23 with 8PSI but an ET of 15.74. I set up boost to 14-15 PSI and made 15.44 ET, but traction was horible at the 60 Feet with a time of 2.53. If you launch with a low boost setting and then switch to a high setting, you can destroy a lot of cars except the Viper... Ian
