Default Eibach update

Well, I got the replacement kit from Eibach and here is how the weekend went. It took 3 hours to remove the bolt that was broke off. The guy must of used lock tight because it was mear impossible to remove. Had to re thread the exsisting bolt. We put the car on jacks so the load was still on the vehicle. It appeared the my original installer (whom I will not use ever again) put the brackets on backwards which would explain why the stress was on the bolts. we lubricated both the bars wear the brackets are along with the bushings. It appears that it is on the way it is suppose to be. Another chapter in my life of mods gone wrong. Gary

[xx(] Don't feel bad. When I first installed rear bar, drove it down driveway, to end of street, kept hearing bump/scrape noise, drove back home, and uninstalled it. Couldn't find anyone on web that had Eibach kit installed with pics. So I cruised the shopping mall parking lot, seeking out older PTs . . . so I could look underneath to see their factory rear bar . . .

My kit did not come with any instructions, and found (when looking at factory bar) that I had installed my rear bar upside-down!! [B)]

Reinstalled and all good (until bracket broke) [xx(]
Re-reinstalled now, and all good again!! [^]

it's very easy to put the end links on wrong,
ie: the wrong side of the sway bar.

correct pic

Gary, glad all ended well and glad there appears to be nothing wrong with the install kits from Eibach.
