Default Need help with choosing shocks

I lowered my GT about a 1 ago. I kept the factory shocks. Now I'm finding the rear of the car to be too bouncy at times, even to the point of being dangerous. I would like Koni shocks all around, but I really can't afford them, plus I'm not really up for the modifications that need to be done with the front struts. I'm thinking of the Tokico shocks since I can get them much cheaper and can install them myself. Can those of you who have installed Tokico's tell me how you like them? Will this take care of the bounce in the rear completely? What is the ride like with the struts in the front? My stock struts frequently bottom out (but no bounce like the rears). Will these be less likely to bottom out?

Thanks

I had Tokico shocks and struts on my lowered GT and loved them.[?]

try a set of koni's on the back first,
leave the stock gt oem struts in the front.

i see lots of guys put on backs only,
with a sway bar set, and lower springs,
you get a good compromise that wont beat you
to death in everyday driving.

you can get carried away with the front
struts and create a real harsh ride...

I am very happy with my Tokicos great handling and descent rebound control and not too stiff. I found the stock struts a little too mushy and subject to lossing control over very deep cross gutters where the Tokico's never seem to bottom out!!

Thanks you to everyone who responded. I think I will go with the Tokico's in the very near future.

Got mine on ebay for about $240 front and back delivered to my house in Calif. I love mine better ride quality than stock and more control.

I see DropZone racing shocks/struts on ebay. Anyone have any experience with them? I have DZ lowering springs but took them off for the winter and now that they weather is nicer I want to put them back. I remember the bumps with the stock struts paired with the DZ lowering springs last summer and thought maybe having after market shocks/struts would help. This is where I looked at the DZ shocks/strusts found on ebay. So anyone have any experience with these? Any reply is appreciated.

I had the same dangerous bounce in my car with GoldLines and factory shocks. Installed Tokico blues ($265 shipped from ebay at the time) and things are back under control. Just do it.
