Default Alingment specs for lowered Turbl

Coil over kit goes on next week, lowering the front 2-1/2" and the rear 1-1/2". What are your recommendations for alignment settings on the camber, caster, and toe in. We're more interested in good handling rather than tire wear. Car is a 2006 GT Turbo.

Front toe is the only factory adjustment. You can adjust for front camber using a aftermarket camber kit(smaller dia bolt or eccentric shaped bolt) or you can carefully slot the upper bolt hole in the strut housing to allow for negative front camber. The rear can only be adjusted with shims inserted between the axle mounting and the wheel bearing assembly. I would set front camber a -1.5 deg. and toe at 0. I would set rear @ -2.0 deg. and rear toe-in .15 deg. each side (.30 deg. total). If possible I would try to limit the amount of rake in the vehicle. This car is pretty heavy in the front and a 1" difference in drop front to rear sounds like a lot of rake, even with little rake the vehicle design makes it appear lower in the front than the rear. If you want better handling you should add front and rear sway bars!!! and a LSD, Limited slip diff.

1ptturbo . . . thanks for the specific info; this is great and I'll take it to the shop. sway bars - yes, next year; looking at H&R, as they do qualiity work, but can't figure out why the front bar is not adjustable??? is there limited space?
LSD?? very interested; have not seen them listed in most of the parts vendors. only available from the dealers? or where else? tomandmarj

My '03 GT is dropped 2 1/4" front and 2 3/4" back. You will have lots of fun with driveways, speed bumps and curbs. You'll learn to be careful with those. Sometimes scraping is unavoidable. Great handling though.
