have a04 pt turbo touring ed. Had to have the two front axles replaced because of cv joint problems. I have 34,000 on it. I have noticed that since I got the car back the steering feels lighter...not sloppy or loose just less effort in the wheel. Had the alignement checked and it did need a milor adjust to the front toe...other readings were fine. the dealer says that it might be lighter because of the new axles vs the old with outer cv problems. My question is that anybody out there with a stock pt...no mods to the susp. is you steering firm when you turn it or light. I know that this is a relative type question...but what the heck. It steers fine and acurate it just has a lighter feel or resistance vs prior to the work done....any thoughts...

If anyone added a few pounds to the tire pressure, that would lighten up the steering as you have less tire on the road. Check your pressure.

Go to 38 psi and it will feel even better (lighter)
