Well its been year since I had my Eibach SBar in now, and last month I noticed a "clinging" sound coming from the back of the car, I had no choice but to take the car to the dealer (*^#%$&*) after inspecting and test driving it they told me the cause of the noise from from the SB, since they don't touch after market stuff on the car, they handed me a bill for $94 and sent me on my way. I called a friend of mine who actually installed the bars for me. It told me that if those bushing get dried out, or even if the brackets get loose 1/32 of a mil, it might knock. I guess those bushing which are NOT rubber have to be lubricated every so often. This is a mess...something to think about BEFORE installing one. gary

Gary are you saying the only problem was no lube and they loosened up some?? I lube mine with silicone spray cause they make noise if I dont lube them and they came with lube which my mechanic didnt use enough when he installed the bushings on my say bar. I have had mine for about a year and I will have them checked for tightness. They real noise I got comming from the rear was that my spare tire was not real tight. My sway bars totally transformed my PT into a real handling machine so the little extra maintenance is OK with me!!

Update on my problem, turns out one of the dog bone brackets that attach the bar to chassis was just slightly loose. I can't even say is was loose, we just tightened it 1/4 inche. I can't believe that small adjustment made all the difference. bottom line, keep all the brackets tight as possible. Gary
