I've got to a point where the things are so bad they bang even under acceleration and cornering. I pit like 100+ miles a day on them too. Not much you can do when you drive for work. Hopefully I will get time this weekend to take it and get it fixed under the extended warranty. It is annoying that the car has 33K miles on it and this started at 30K. I got a 1973 Nova that I replaced the control arm bushings at 150K and that was just to put in a energy suspension kit on the whole car.
BTW to note on the Energy Suspensions. They work great but you do feel everything on the road and way more road noise. Tom 03 GT Stock Deep Cranberry w/ Flames <Will start the upgrading in late 2007> |

Don't you realize that Daimler Chrysler is not an American Company, and that the PT Cruiser is made in Mexico |

Well if you haven't heard Daimler sold most of their stock to a private equity firm called Cerberus who is if I recall correct an American company. Even when Daimler purchased Chrysler and they where known as DaimlerChrysler they were still an American company. Even with parts and cars built in Mexico or China Chrysler is still an American company. It's called globalization, 04stocker, and pretty much ever American company does it. Look at Wallmart. It's an American company selling mostly American goods to Americans, yet most of it's products are manufactured in China and a lot of it's business is handled in India. Now would you call Wallmart a Chinese company? So to set the record straight, yes Chrysler is an American company.

Nah, don't get a Scion, I've got 80,000 miles on my PT GT and no real problems, knock on wood. Once you address the suspension inefficiencies on a PT you'll have a sweet ride and everyone will be surprised how nice it is. The control arm bushing is just a dead horse we like kicking around here. So enjoy your PT.
