do your rotors have a min thickness stamped into the rotor hat. A manufacturer name, part number and lot number? Where were they made? What is there composition? Are they alloyed grey iron, or some Chinese pig iron? Are they dynamically balanced? Again, you get what you pay for......

They had the dimensions and part number stamped on the outside diameter and I'm not going to take the tire off to look for more. They were made by Prostop which was the same manufacturer of the ceramic brake pads (with wear indicators). I like them,so I will buy the rear rotors as well. This posting was only meant to inform other PT owners that other options are available, especially if they don't have a lot of money to spend. If I post something it's only to inform others of alternatives, and I never expected a pat on the back. If you don't like what I have posted, I really don't care.

That is the type I asked for, but they didn't have it for the GT Turbo, only the standard undrilled was available. I stopped there on the way home from work as I heard "metal to metal" in stop and go driving, so I had to get the parts quick! I replaced the brake pads and rotors the next morning and found that the OEM rear pads didn't have wear indicators.

Yep OEM pads, suck. Reason why the rear pads don't have wear indicators is that the rear pads rarely wear all the way down, it's the fronts that go first. The manufacturer of the OEM part probably wanted to cut back on costs so told their engineers to scale down parts as much as possible.

I am not real happy with the ceramic pads. They are very low dusting, they are quiet, they don't fade as the oems, but they do seem to require more pedal pressure to stop. I may go back to the semi metalics.

yep that's what happens with the harder pads. they don't bite as well. i don't mind the dust, forces me to keep the wheels clean.
