does anyone have an opinion on getting rotors from CQUENCE in Anaheim Calif? I saw them on Ebay for a set F&R for $125 slotted and crossdrilled. also, I have searched and have not found an answer as to why it is not recommended on having the stock rotors resurfaced (mine are not grooved)
thanks |

i think the stock rotors are junk, just had the wifes sway bar bushings and other stuff replaced at dealership ( still under warranty
) they told me she had about 2 % left on her brakes and not to even bother doing the rotors just replace them as the stock ones are junk , had it done but not there and my friend who did it look at the brakes says yes its times and then says boy these stock rotors are cheap crap ?? so i repalced them also |

I bought my drilled and slotted rotors on Ebay and loved them for my 2003 GT. My mechanic said they were thinner than stock (fronts only)but worked great for around 30,000 miles and then I traded it in. No problems with roundness wear or noise. You could hear a faint whistle noise from the fronts going slow with windows open caused by the drilled rotors I suppose. When I bought my 2006 GT wife had only one bad comment about the new car saying our old brakes were better!

MY OPINION.
Drilled & slotted rotors look nice, but save your money. Unless you're racing, you won't feel a difference. The stock rotors are crap - too soft - on my '02 I took advice and got the best rotors NAPA sells, and Raybestos ceramic pads and braking was fantastic and lasted. I think it's a waste of money to turn rotors. They're too thin for turning and turning takes off more thickness.
