Default The BEST street tire in a 215/17 size

Try the BFG G-Force KDW.
I guarantee you it is the best street tire you will find in a 215/17 size, BAR NONE.

i love my Dunop SP9000's. To me, they ride as well as the Michelin Pilot Sports and they are a little cheaper. I have 225/45 ZR17's

I would love to get the BFGs, but they are about twice the price (over $200/tire)of the Yokohama AVS100(around$100/tire).

My Mistake...Sorry, I had seen pricing on the hot rod KD racing Tire.

Haven't heard about the Neo Gen (Nitto), yet. Hot rod street racer tire.

Try Kumho Ecsta 712's from tirerack.com. I had them on my SLK230 and they were awesome, wet or dry.

So I must say the Yokohama AVS-100's are probably one of the best tires I've had. Here in Calgary we went through a rain spell that had from 4" of standing water to 2' deep "lakes". Unbeleivable in the wet! No hydroplaining at all on the expressways. Even my wife noticed. Quite impressed!

Wow, that's a lot of FREAKING mods. Do you have a money tree? If yes, can I have some money tree seeds.

I'm not spending nearly enough cash on this car.

((Oh, wait, yeah I am.))

With my experence with autocross, I would have to go with the Yoko's as a brand. But I have tried the BFG KDW and it is also a well made tire. A little less forgiving when pushed hard but still a great tire. I have yet to try the Dunlops. The Kumho's are the best tire for the dollar. they are cheep and they are a decient tire in wet-dry. But I did not like them as much thru the cones.

Shane -

I guess I'm going through a major mid-life crisis, spending the inheritance of the kids that I don't have. Two PT's and 5 motorcycles, including a Harley, in 2 years. Maybe I need counseling? [:I]

But we're having fun, right? And at the end of the day, that's all that matters!
