I picked up my 2006 GT 'Vert this weekend, and was disappointed to find out, the "chrome wheels" Chrysler advertises on the window sticker, are really just plastic wheel covers.
What does everyone else think of this? I was very disappointed. I know Chrysler has a lot of problems with their chrome wheels pealing, but this doesn't really fix the problem. Nothing I can do now, just a little upset.. Matt

That started in '06. If you read the sticker it says "Chrome Clad Wheels".

My daughter & her husband have '03 GTs with true chrome wheels. I have the silver-painted alloys - mine are FAR easier to clean, and both theirs have signs of pitting and peeling.

Problem with the cladding is that they scratch when you look at them... using a dry towel put fin scratches all over mine.
Only have 2k miles on the car, I'm waiting for the tires to wear before I go with diff wheels.
