Default Any lowering springs NOT bottoming out???

Anyone out there that has installed lowering springs and has not had the bottoming out problem? I was all set to order a set of Eibachs but it seems even with the progressive wound springs most people have posted bottoming out or bounce problems...maybe I should just go with aftermarket sways to cure the "lean" in corners...
Do you only bottom out when carrying passengers? 99% of the time its just "us" so maybe bounce wouldn't be a problem [:I]
Thanks, Deen

99% of the time...no problem. Only at times with a loaded rear end(Back seat passengers, or freight), and/or larger more severe speed bumps etc. otherwise they are GREAT. Knowing all I do now, I would still buy the Eibachs in a heartbeat!!
The looks!!
The handling!!

VERY rarely. If u dont want to go too low (arent those 2 inch) You may try BTG only 1 3/4 front and 1 1/2 rear. Pic below. I love em! Best mod per dollar IMO

Did you cut the rear bump stops, cuz you will get more travel and if too low youll just be hitting the bump stop.

Eibachs installed on '01 PT and '03 GT. Bump stops not trimmed. Have never bottomed out. Are the people bottoming out just going to darn fast and not being careful? [:I] With both PT's lowered I don't take chances with bumps or steep driveways. I take it slow and deliberate.

Wife says she never saw someone drive fast just to slow down. [:I] I like the way she imitates the turbo whine and the bov going off. Front end of the GT is lower than the '01. I never had to be as careful with the '01 after it was lowered as I do with my GT with the bumps, steep driveways and high curbs.[:0]

If you're bottoming out in the rear, I would put some air lift bags in the rear springs. I have them in my ImpalaSS to preload the right rear suspension for launch.

They install easily. The best time would be while installing the lowering springs. I actually slipped them (deflated with the hose plugged) between the coils of my Impala's rear springs while they were on the car with the suspension hanging free. That may not work on the PT, but I think it will. Then you plumb the air lines to somewhere convenient. Then if you're carrying a load you can fill them with air to bolster the rear suspension. They aren't that expensive and Summit is where I purchased mine.
