Default New GT

Just bought a 2007 Convertible GT totally stock, can't beleive I waited so long to do this! The PT is a ball to drive. I'm concerned about the milage I'm getting - 15 mpg and this is while driving very gently and resisting the urge to punch it. My car only has 1800 miles on it. Does this factor into the milage I'm getting? Will it get any better? I also get a hesitation (or hicuup) when slowly accelerating from a standing start. Any ideas what could be causing this?

mileage will get slightly better... best way to gauge it, literally, is to get a boost gauge and keep it on the vac side as much as possible.

the hiccup is most likely the plug/wires combo. stockers are not good. get a good set of replacements and lower the gap on your plugs to about .04-.045

good wires: msd, crane
good plugs: ngk, denso

Welcome. You acted just in time! I've read they plan to kill both the convertible and the GT!!!
Check your tires - I to 2-3 PSI above the door sticker, and it helps mileage.
Agree w/advice about plugs/wires, but make the dealer look at it.

Welcome

I got my Vert up to 20 (from 16) with the tire pressure , a K&N air filter, and trying to shift at about 2500rpms but no higher than 3000....

Enjoy it!

Yeah, my mileage went from 15 to 18 after passing 2500 on the clock. I'm going to try air pressure and a K&N drop in to get to 20.
