Hi there. This is my first post here. First I'd like to say that I've been using this forum for my main source of help/info in doing all my mods this summer.
Regarding my bump stops, I had my Koni's & springs done by a reputable shop in BC, Canada. They did not cut the bump stops on the front or back. I really like the stiff ride now, but I do find the back can get a little "hoppy". I've been given 2 different opinions here in town. One guy said one inch should have been cut off the bump stops on front & rear. Another very reputable shop said that they almost never cut the stops unless the car is totally slammed. I don't know what brand of springs were put on, they are kinda purple in color. I have no problem with the ride in the front, but I'm wondering if I should cut the rear stops down a little. I like the ride stiff & have my Koni's set to 50% stiff on both front & rear. (I sometimes have the fronts adjusted to $100% stiff.) Any help would be much appreciated.

if you're lowered near 2" or more then cut the rear stops just over 1"...
the bouncy ride has nothing to do with the bump stops however. most likely you need to firm up your struts to control the spring bounce... fyi.

Thanks. So because I only lowered my car by 1.5 inches front & back, it's not totally necessary to cut the stops down.
I should double check what the rears shocks are set to for dampening. Thanks.

I used the Eibach Pro Kit springs (front drops 1.6" and back 2") on two PTs and the shop didn't cut the stops at all. Never had a problem. They didn't cut the stops on my SRT-4 with Eibach springs either, but I never rode around with three adults or a really heavy load in my car either. All I know is when I asked the shop, when they did the first car, I was told they never cut the bump stops. I do know other shops cut them per instructions so who really knows?
