Default Control arms

The bushings on my front control arms are shot, can just the bushings be replaced? I was quoted $1100 fromn the dealer to replace, $800 at goodyear, and $550 at firestone, man, these guys really know how to mark this stuff up, I have 75,000 I would of thought they would last longer than that, anyone else replace yet?> Gary

The story gets better.....I got another opinion and they discovered my front sway bar was loose which was making the noise I heard, they also said they control arm/bushings are not that bad yet, due to a poor design, the bushings get loose and work their way out of the sleeve, any other feedback on this topic,???????
