I understand that the only (anti)sway bars currently available for our GT's are:
> Factory (stock NA-version) > Progressive > Suspension Techniques > Addco Supposedly other manufacturers (Eibach, for one) has them also, but no one has been able to actually produce a part number and source for it. Also I do understand that resellers (Moss, for one) offers bars, but they seems to simply be repackaged Progressive units. From what I can find, the 'stock' OEM unit is the same part number since the '00 introduction. So if Addco lists a sway bar for fitting '00-'01, it should also fit an '03 GT??? Addco does manufacture a 1-inch front bar (part #02072) and a 3/4-inch rear bar (part #02077), listed for the '00-'01 PT. The only caveat I can find is that the rear bar requires the use of OEM hardware and links (which of course my GT is 're-designed' without.) But I can buy those pieces from the local gouge-me dealership. I have Addco units on both my Maxima and my MG, and find them to be very durable (urethane bushings) and well made (anodized, vs Chrysler OEM factory rusted piece). Does anyone here have PERSONAL experience with the Addco unit, specifically on their GT? Thanks |

The Eibach part # is 2860.320 and you can order the set (front and rear) from TruckPerformance, http://www.truckperformance.com/ , for $300.99 .
Flashbk2 has Addco's installed on his GT and I have Addco's installed on my 2002. Handling is now very neutral and responsive over the stock setup.

Thanks, Sci-Fi. I was particularly interested in the Addco, due to previous experience on other cars . . . and that Addco can be ordered through Pep-Boys.
Can you confirm that the Addco listing of only '00-'01 will fit current GT? Would still need to scrounge for 'stock' parts (end links, u-brackets, nuts/bolts) to fit the Addco rear bar. I'm surprised of the price of the Eibach set. That's $60 cheaper than Suspension Techniques, and about the same as Addco. And the TruckPerformance Center site states "Installation: Bolt-on installation. All necessary hardware and instructions included" This would eliminate scrounging for necessary parts with the Addco. Has anyone reading this purchased/installed the Eibach set?

I don't believe the kit would include more then the rear anti sway parts other then the bar and 2 bushings. I find it odd that the imports and other domestic cars are offered the complete replacement parts (bar, HD end links, bushings, etc.) for the rear anti-sway bar setup in their kits, except for the axle clamps, but the Chrysler PT requires one to reuse or buy the OEM parts. I haven't checked if it would fit a PT, but the imports have heavy duty adjustable rear end links available: ![]() Somebody would need to take the stock end link and mounting bolts to see if they would match up.

I could of used those adjustable end links on my old cruiser cuz when you lower the car it changes the angle on the stock end links to rear quite a bit..... damn Sci-fi why didn't you find these 18 months ago,lol ! thanks buddy ! [?]

Better yet the adjustible links will allow you to do weight balancing for greatly improved handling. Check this months Hot Rod Magazine with the write up on our 2.4 turbo.

Truckperformance.com carries the Eibach swaybars you are looking for. They go for about $300 and require about $50 worth of additional hardware to mount the rear bar. The job requires 2 people. Not cheap or easy but well worth it. You should also know the teflon bushings will squeak a little, and the ride is unchanged, but almost no body roll.

If you get some marine grease and coat the poly bushings it will last longer than regular grease. It is really sticky stuff.
