Default GT wheels for SRT-4 wheels?

Hello, my name is Andre and I have an SRT-4 and I have a question for you guys/gals!

My friend has a 03 GT Cruiser and we were talking about swapping rims. I like the GT wheels and it would be different to have a SRT-4 with GT wheels. The one BIG problems I'm having, is accepting the fact that it has Goodyear RS-A tires on them. I hate Goodyears and I don't buy them, but how good/bad of a tire is it? The SRT-4 comes with Michelin Pilot Sports and it's a pretty good tire. Would I just spin the rubber right off of these tires or do they provide good traction? Has anyone cranked up the boost in their GT yet? Thanks in advance!!

These tires SUCK! I would not recomend them for a SRT. The wheels are cool but invest in some good tires. Maybe some BFG's or something.

ha ha drizze, i recognize you off of srtforums.com , i was wondering how long it would take for you guys to wander over here... In response to you question, these tires SUCK!!! You are definitely getting screwed on this trade... but the extra cost of a chrome rim equals out the trade in my opinion... Why would you want the extra weight of chrome anyways??

I concur, these tires suck *DONKEY*! I had them on two diff Dakota R/Ts as well and the max we got out of them on those was like 15k miles.on the truck I switched to Nitto 450 Extremes and was very very satisfied.

I just wore mine out. I had 10,500 miles on them. I could only get 9-10,000 for the Dak R/T. They BLOW!!

Nah, I like Dak R/Ts. I had two of em. a Black 98 Club Cab, and a Solar Yellow 99 Reg Cab. The only major problems were the intake gaskets blowing and the weak tranny. I saw a few with the 408 Strokier kits that were bad-ass! I might pick one up used ina couple of years. The biggest problem now that they have is that they are saying they will not be putting the 5.7 HEMI in the Dak R/T and only the 4.7 High Output. This may spell the end for that truck.

I have to agree with everyone here on the very poor traction that the Badyears provide. I am putting on Yoko AVS ES100's next week and should see a vast inprovement at the strip! A power launch is impossible. You just have to hit it from an idle. I average about 2.2 in the 60 ft with the OEM crap. Once got a 2.169, but usually just spin them off. BTW, I've got the Autostick and just added the Stage I last night. Tonite, back to the strip to see just how much more rubber I can scrape away!
