That Houston dealership won't be in business very long if they treat a lot of customers the way they are treating you. Your parts alone would be around that amount so your essentially getting all your labor for free.

Heh heh...they have more customers than they can handle! It's always busy there. I think they just like me.

Naw...but they're really cool. Remember, since I've had my car, I've taken it to them for everything, repairs and maintenance. I think this is why I am getting such a deal.

Anyway...peace...gotta go drop it off!

Okay...dealer just called me and said that it's ready to go. They had it a little over a week, waiting on some struts from St. Louis...they shipped those darn things separately!

They said it'll be $550.00...I'll try to post the bill 2morrow!

They said another "lateral mount" broke and they had to order it...so this is the reason for the increase of price. I still think 550.00 is a good deal

You got lucky and didn't get charged for the timing belt. You are lucky they said the leaking water pump contaminated the timing belt. Not under warranty the timing belt/water pump would have cost you another $900-$1200. I do have to applaud the dealer for not trying to stick it to you. I've taken two of my PTs to the same dealer and have gotten a few breaks, not many, but a few. Love it while you can. I've seen dealers change good service managers and then everything went anti-customer.

Yup...if the service managers go, I go with them.
