Default brake upgrade

Hi im starting to look a brake upgrade, i dont want to go up in size, because i need to fit 15inch wheel for winter(i dont know the backspacing, but they came from a celica, but i had to take 1/8inch out of the center hole...) So i want better calipers, cuz mine are rusted and better pads and rotors. I was thinking about the new one from raybestos...the advance technologies. I need help! lol
thanks!!!

As far as brakes go, I recommend the dealer's metal pads. They're some of the highest quality available.

Calipers are rusted? I'm sure they still work.

You're not going to get much better performance then OEM pads w/o going big, like the 13.5" Stoptechs.

Personally, I don't trust rusted calipers. I replace them (easy!) However, that being said, if the rubber seals are not dry, or cracked, or in generally rough condition, you might be able to get away with using them. If any sign of problems, however slight, replace (or rebuild) that sucker. Brakes are your front line of defense - don't cheap out on them.

its only supfical rust....hardcore winters up here. But i want cleanliness in the summer behind the stock wheel (ive got to admit they look good...) should i go and buy OE units? im afraid it might be too expansive for the quality....

Honestly I think it's silly to consider your crappy winter wheels when determining brakes. Wilwood brakes up front are only $550 for the set with everything you need to go to 12" rotors. All new calipers, pads, and rotors and you're already pushing $300 just to keep the same level of performance.

i dont have a choice to consider my winter wheels, i do i have (by law) to have them from the 15th of november up until the 15 th of april. But most of us up here put them on on the last day of october/ first day of november. So its 5 months that my PT GT is wearing those.

calipers go with stock.
what you can do to protect them is by some caliper paint and paint them, that should keep them from rusting in the future. as for rear brakes do the same HP+

these brakes have a break in process and it involves hard to moderate repeated stops read the directions and follow them, you just cant put them on and use them, even if you went with a lower HPS you still have to break them in.

and get new rotors while your at it.

if you dont like stopping hard, the sound of brake squeel, and/or brake dust then dont buy them, they are an autocross/track pad. these pads work.
