Default Sway Bar Update

Just got the call from the stealer on my issue with no sway bar, but listing it on window sticker. The outcome is they are putting one on at no cost to me. I am happy and it will work for me.

Put my hood struts on. Put K&N air filter in. Put VentShades on all four windows.

Priceing a tubo timer and install.

Thanks guys if I would not have read your list I would not have known about the sway bar. Even if it is OEM, it beats a blank.

It's OK to give your dealer credit for the bar... he is undeniably eating the cost, DC won't pay.

What state do you live in? I have gone round and round with my dealer in Florida and they are obnoxious in their attitudes as is DC. Would appreciate a copy of your invoice after you get the work done. Not sure that it would do me any good as I already have one from a Cruiser owner in Arizona that had the work done under warranty as "missing parts."

This is exactly how it was set up by service and the Rep.

I will send you a copy no problem when the work is done. You can just send a self addressed and I will drop it in the mail.

Thanks, if you can send it as an attachment, an email would be fine. I think that you are the third owner that is having this work done under warranty. Each additional owner may widen the crack in the DC dam which would allow the rest of us who are dealing with *@! dealers to finally get what is due us.

FWIW, we still have an active online petition to get an idea of the numbers of owners that may be interested in filing a Class Action against Chrysler for the restoration of the sway Bar.

It can be found here:
http://www.petitiononline.com/2003stab/

Fighting a big company is an uphill task. Chrysler has demonstrated amazing staying power in the past when resisting their obligation to right obvious wrongs.

As the performance upgrades continue to raise the ante, as far as horse power is concerned, there will be a higher probability of death or serious injury resulting from a suspension that is not stable with the added power. At some point this will reach critical mass; with or without our online petition participants.

The petition is set to stay active until December 16th, 2003. That will represent a 6 month run. At that time, we will have to re-evaluate the market attitude to see if it is still an issue to pursue as a group of owners, or if it is already being addressed by others more agressive than us. At some point, unless Chrysler bellies up to the bar, there come a time where interested parties will have to consider what sources would fund a legal battle and how committed we are to that end.

No matter how it ends up down the road, the petition is still there for new signatures and to get an idea of how others feel about the issue.
