Default lowering kit

Hey I am thinking about lowering the Cruiser but not sure of what is involved in doing it. I have looked around (online) and I am interested in getting one of these two kits.

Eibach Chrysler PT Cruiser Pro-Kit Lowering Springs 01-Up - AutoTruckToys.com
or
Gold-Line Chrysler PT Cruiser Super Slam Lowering Kit - AutoTruckToys.com

Which one and why? Why the price difference between the two?

One last thing, am I going to need a camber ajustment kit?

Any help appreciated, I'm kinda new to this hole thing :S

Edit: Kit is for an 2003 GT Turbo

I went with the Eibach Pro Kit. Why the difference in price? Same as any other price for anything. Look around and you can always find someone with a better price. Eibach was the ONLY place selling lowering springs back in 2001 for the PT Cruiser. There wasn't a list of aftermarket vendors back then only NOPI for the import cars and they happen to have the Eibach springs.

The alignment "kit" consists of two bolts for about $30. You do need the bolts if your going to align the front end. I didn't need an alignment after putting on the springs, not for a few years anyway. The tires were wearing perfect. When I finally did see some wear, I bought the "kit". It wasn't until I added the struts and shocks that actually helped the ride because of the lowering springs that I needed another alignment.

Is there any quality difference between the two? If there isn't I'm thinking I might go with the Gold-line kit...

Thanks CREWZIN for your help so far.

I've only had the Eibach's so I don't know what the difference is between the two. According to the write-up, the Gold Line drops the PT more than the Eibach's so if you have any kind of body kit you might go too low.

The two kits your looking at really are night and day different kits.

The Eibach doesn't lower the car nearly as much as the GoldLine Super Slam (2.75F, 3.25R). The quality between the kits would be similar. I am not sure on Eibach warranty, but GoldLine at one time carried a lifetime warranty on their springs against sagging and what not. Not sure if that is still the case. I had the super slam kit on my 2001 NA, and absolutely loved it.

I lived in MI when I had my 2001, and the roads are terrible, so I had to take it slow sometimes, but that was no different then what I did with stock suspension. I am planning to put the Slammers on my 2006 GT Convertible sometime in the near future. My car only has 9,000 miles on it, so I haven't done much to it yet.

The slammer kit looks second to none, but if it's to low for you, I would suggest the Eibach kit over most others.

I know this thread is a little old but I desperately need some help and you had the super slams those are the ones I bought.

Now I had a backyard mechanic install these(or try too!) anyway he did the front and it wasn't a problem...He called me and said the back ones were not going to work properly because they sit loose and may pop out if I hit a large bump. So after he dicked around and stuff he decided to lower the car and test drive it with the back ones in place.. calls me back and says its clunky and he can't get those springs to fit tight so as not to bounce around ect...
I was under the impression these were a "plug N play" type of springs. I told him he has to cut the bump stops...which he said he did..Now I am stuck and don't know what to do or to tell him?
Is there something special that has to be done???
Thanks

I can't understand that. Do you have new rear shocks? I lowered both my PTs in the rear - only by 1.5-2 inches, but it would've gone more w/shorter springs.
You have to unbolt the shocks to get the old springs out.

The shocks are stock since I bought the car in 02. The springs just look like they are too short like by about 1.5" we didn't even have to compress them to get them in. There is play up n down it bites!
He/we basically took the shocks off and removed the originals springs.
You know it's almost like the springs for the back are not the right ones for the kit but thats what was in the box....Gold-Line GL-0301 Slam springs approx 3" back and 2" front. I actually bought them off ebay from a guy who didn't use them but he bought them new...and they were nevr used.
