Isn't the coil over offered by PT Tuning the same as the Stage 2 offered by MOPAR? Made by KW (German ISO 9001 Quality)? BTW PT Tuning is $300 cheaper and has a limited lifetime warrantee (not to fuel the fire so to speak [}])

FWIW, the Mopar coilovers are covered under the maufacturers warranty (KW Suspension) that's coming from Uniqtwin (TurboG) at the SRT forums

*BUMP*
Anyone bought these? Everyone is so excited about getting a stage 1, exhaust, etc... but in reality I think stage 3 coilovers will improve your daily drive FAR MORE than the other mods (with a good set of tires of course).

I'm saving my pennies as I can't see how this could affect my powertrain warranty if it blows up...

What do you guys think?

Oooooh,

You gonna buy a set??? This is definitely something I am HIGHLY considering. I want to be sure if it will make a big difference however. I really enjoy driving full tilt around corners in my ProbeGT and want something similar in my PTGT. I know the cars are completely different, but I'm sure the suspension can be improved a lot on the PTGT.

Let us know!!

OK... here is the scoop on the "Stage" kits from KW Suspensions.

While on vacation last week in Vancouver, I talked to them on the phone about the PT coil over upgrades. Right now, they are approximately 2 1/2 weeks from being ready (final testing in Germany?!?!) and they will be available from Mopar (and me) about 2 months after that.

I was going to go and see their facilities as they were only 45 mins away from where I was staying, but they were too busy getting ready for the SEMA show in Las Vegas to give me a tour. I'll find out more after SEMA on the status of the PT coil overs.

KW has had a suppension set for pt cruisers for about a year and a half. I bought mine through Moss Motors a year and a have ago. They were designed by KW/MOPAR. Have 255/40/17's 8 inch wheels/ Proggesive anti/sways/strut tower brace and car handles great. KW's are adjustable. Only lowered front end inch and a half and rear two inches because of tire size.
The ride is a little stiff but does not bottom out. People that drive my turbo are amazed at the handling. I paid 1,100 for the KW. If you want to really handle/ buy them.
