I installed the BTG lowering spring on JUST THE REAR today. It was a simple job and here is the result. Car handles better and is a bit stiffer. I'll complete the job on the front as soon as I borrow a spring compressor.

I think you better do the front right away.

GTSteve:
Looks like you are keeping very busy and having fun installing all those new BTG top-quality "after-market goodies"! That Electric Blue GT of yours is really looking GOOD!! [8D] [^] ![]() When you are done (Is one ever finished?) with your GT and have some "extra-time" on your hands, why don't you drive "a few miles north" and you can help me work on mine? Since I'm now "starting over again" it will take me additional time to get my GT turbo car "in shape" for cruising! [?] |

I'd love to get together Gary. However, I hardly have time to work on mine, let alone help you with yours. I know you are just joking anyway. Half the fun is doing the work yourself. I was going to take mine to a shop and have them lower it then I thought "it will be fun to do it myself". It's also more satisfying.
I know you'll keep us all posted on your progress. |

If you have a friend with an air wrench it sure makes the spring compressor job much quicker and easier! (Make sure you borrow one with locks on the spring grips.) I was supprised at how easy it was...about 90 minutes for both sides once the wheels were off and the car on blocks.

I just completed the lowering job on the front. It took quite a while because my air compressor went out so I did it all with hand tools. I borrowed a spring compressor kit (the one with two long bolts). This took the most time. I also installed the BTG strut tower brace. I'll have pics soon.

BEFORE BTG SPRINGS FROM PT-TUNING
![]() AFTER SPRINGS ![]() ![]() LOWERED FRONT ![]() LOWERED BACK ![]() Rides GREAT, Handles GREAT, looks GREAT. Not too low but low enough for me. Slight rake so I can still have 2 adults in the back. I LIKE IT! Great parts from PT-tuning for $138 and FREE SHIPPING. |

Looks killer GTSteve, may even rethink the Eibach's for the BTG's now.
