Default PT-Tuning strut tower brace

Installed the BTG strut tower brace from PT-Tuning

Here are some pics of the mounts and the completed job.

The install was fairly simple. Came with new brackets for the solenoids and cruise control. Part is polished nicely and fits well.

Looks nice... However how does it perform? [8D]

Did you do this the same time as the springs?

I did it at the same time as the springs since I had everything apart. I thought about doing things one at a time so I could judge the results. So much for that.

The ride is a bit stiffer with the springs. Handling is greatly improved as expected. I took it for a test drive and it feels like a completely different car. Hardly any lean in the corners. One thing I also noticed was when I romped on it, the torque steer seemed less. This is one thing that I wanted since this is my first front wheel drive car.

This is as far as I am going to go with the suspension for now. I may replace the struts in a few years if these last that long.

Also, I can definately tell that tires play a BIG part in handling. I took a 20MPH on ramp at 40 and I could feel the tires starting to let go. The car handled great, the tires were the problem.

All for now. I'm tired from working on the car for 4 hours today.

Looks great and sounds like it enhances overall performance. How "simple" is installation?

install is very easy, comes with good instructions, hope you have a good socket set, with flexible joints.

I put mine on after the springs.
Noticeable difference on turns, the front end is tighter. I like it.

Which made a bigger difference in performance in your opinion?

big Al, the springs help, but i noted the suspension seemed sloppy. the bar tightened up the front end at least..the last thing i may do is add a set of sways...mine came with the "integrated" rear sway.

Have you narrowed down your search for the rear sway bar kit? I would like to be able to find an aftermarket kit that comes with all the parts rather than buying the stock links and mounting parts.
