04 stock vs. 03 + BTG lowering springs ![]() |

I can tell the one with the BTG springs is definetly a different color!
![]() Seriously, these cars handle much better once lowered...and I CAN see the differance in the wheel-well openings on the Electric Blue crusier. Deen

Steve,
The BTG is much more noticeable. I can tell on mine with my 17" aftermarket wheels with and without Eibach's. When I look at stock suspension pics, the car looks like it's on stilts. Now it looks like I want it. I think the rear BTG height is OK, esp with the narrow stock rims. Any lower and it gives the car a chicken leg look. I have 17x8's which fill out the wheel well and like the look. When I put the stock rims on, it looks funny now. Here's a pic: ![]()

The Sea Mist Green one looks like an SUV next to the Electric Blue.

Has anyone besides me seen the pictures of those huge groups of PTs together for a run? (Unfortunately, I haven't been to a run yet.)
When I see those pictures, I always end up counting the lowered cars vs. the stock cars. You know? the stock cars far outnumber the lowered cars. There must be a reason for that. Gee, what could it be?

Reason 1: Owner only cares for fancy paint work or Gee-Wiz add ons.
Reason 2: Owner only cares about looks rather than performance Reason 3: Owner has no $$$ Reason 4: Owner has someone else do all his work but THEY don't know how to use a spring-compressor Reason 5: Owner really wanted to buy an SUV but the stock PT sits so high it LOOKS like one but sells for 10 grand less. Reason 6: Owner likes the way a stock Cruiser leans way over in a corner and thereby keeps his latte stirred-up. Reason 7: Fill-in your own reason here... Deen

I laughed my A$$ off at your post. I know you're being funny but I sense a hint of truth in your words. Even though I don't agree, you have a point. I like the looks of my car lowered and it does handle better. On the other hand, I cringe every time I see a steep driveway. It seems to me that my car has lost some of it's "cruise" ability since I lowered it. I don't take anything away from a nice looking stock cruiser.
